Introducing Georgia Moore the FOUNDER OF GODDESS WORKSHOPS

Goddess Workshops all started when…

As a qualified teacher I have been face-to-face with rising anxiety among children and their lack of self esteem and confidence. I have made it my mission to empower young girls, giving them tools to foster their inner self belief and the confidence to achieve.

Background…

I was educated in private schools, a public high school, Universities here and America and I have degree qualifications in child psychology, art history and design.

After University I spent two years working abroad, discovering new cultures, places and sights. I returned wanting to teach and completed my Masters of Education with Distinction at Waikato University. I am now proudly part of the teaching staff at a country school on the outskirts of Cambridge in the Waikato.

Personal journey of self development…

I have always been committed to personal growth and self-development. After breaking my back in 2018 and embarking on the long road to recovery I was steered towards reading a lot about mental resilience. The more I learnt, the more I realised how much there was to learn about the power of the mind. I want others to gain that power.

I’ve been part of a High Performing Women Untapped Workshop, coached by Briony Mckenzie. During this programme I was coached through mindset skills, limiting beliefs, core values, breaking free from self doubt and leaning into my authentic self. This programme has inspired me to commit to the creation of Goddess Workshops to empower young girls. I now work alongside Briony as her support coach, helping to empower high performing women worldwide.

To further my knowledge of coping mechanisms for anxious children I’ve learnt restorative breathing practices with Sandro Thiara Mota, the founder of STM Breathing.

I have attended the following courses and have used them to influence my practice:

  • Mediation course of Kriya Yoga principles.

  • Anxiety in children professional development.

  • Yoga in classrooms.

I have also been a facilitator of the Social Experiment, an initiative designed to accelerate change-making potential and collective action among young adults. The programme develops entrepreneurial spirits and innovation-driven skill sets and develops leadership capabilities that the world needs for meaningful social impact.

In 2020 I attended a Tony Robbins seminar, “Unleash your Potential”. I have also attended the Landmark Forum which is a personal growth and leadership course.

In 2022 I have completed the Ascension programme coached by Briony Mckenzie. This three month training programme has taught me a lot about my own inner world and how to BE the best, authentic version of myself in order to inspire others.

In 2023 I have completed my Masters in Educational Psychology and this year in 2024 I am embarking on becoming a registered educational psychologist. This new knowledge will help enrich the Goddess Workshop programme for young girls.

I love to chat with other passionate, purpose-driven people within the education sector that are creating new exciting initiations for children.

Coach Abby

My involvement with Goddess Workshops all started when…

I was lucky enough to meet Georgia when completing a personal development course in 2019. We instantly hit it off through discovering we had so much in common - our similar mission and goals to empower young people to be the best versions of themselves. When Georgia shared with me her idea for Goddess Workshops, it immediately resonated and I am thrilled to be involved.

Background

I am Waikato born and bred, and grew up on a farm just outside of Hamilton. Following school, I attended Universities in Wellington and Waikato to gain a degree in Psychology and Media Studies. After completing my degree I pursued Camp America and worked as a camp counselor, swim teacher and lifeguard at a camp in upstate New York. This was an incredible experience and really cemented my passion and love for working with children. When I returned from Camp America, I got involved as a volunteer for Camp Quality NZ, an amazing organisation that runs camps bringing happiness, fun & friendship to children living with cancer.

I then enrolled to complete my Graduate Diploma of Primary Teaching. Today, I am part of a wonderful teaching team in Hamilton and feel lucky to wake up everyday excited for the day ahead and living my passion.

Mission and Personal Development

I am passionate about making a positive, meaningful difference in the lives of our young people and couldn’t be more excited about being a part of the Goddess workshops team. I have always been inspired and dedicated to my own personal growth. After studying psychology at University and going through my own mental health challenges, I became even more passionate about learning more about the power of the mind, the impact of our thoughts and the importance of taking care of our holistic wellbeing.

I have been a part of High Performing Women Untapped Workshop, with coach Briony McKenzie. This was a life-changing experience where I learnt about discovering my core values, overcoming limiting beliefs, mindset tools and ultimately designing a life filled with impact.

A wonderful personal experience has been completing professional development with Nathan Wallis, a neuroscience educator who has a background in child counseling and teaching. Through this I have learnt about how the brain works and how we can use this knowledge to improve our overall wellbeing and quality of life. This has encouraged me to teach my students and other young people to understand the power of their thoughts and actions. I have also attended various other leadership and personal development courses/seminars, including Tony Robbins “Unleash your Potential” with Georgia in 2020. I love to learn and know I will be a life-long learner.

It truly lights me up to get to work with amazing young girls through the Goddess Programme; empowering them with the confidence, self-belief and coping strategies to face life’s challenges as they grow and to be their best selves!
